Valdes’ Whales

The southern right whales have arrived in Chubut’s coast and there’s no better place than Valdes Peninsula to observe them!

Ammanik Sustainable Tourism suggests a four-day trip to Valdes Peninsula, a place to discover the Patagonic Atlantic Coast’s biodiversity, and where you will be able to enjoy the breathtaking natural spectacle as well.

Our trip begins in Puerto Madryn. Here, a top pick is Ecocentro, a super interesting museum, focused on sea ecosystem and the importance of its preservation for future generations. Another place worth visiting is Gaiman, a small town founded by Welsh people, the first colonists to settle in the province, who left a strong cultural legacy.

Our route continues getting deeper into the Peninsula. And even though the southern right whale is the highlight of the trip, the rest of the local species won’t cease to amaze you. While touring Valdes Peninsula you will be able to observe some of the steppe inhabitants, such as guanacos, rheas, maras and peludos, as well as migratory shore birds, like seagulls, herons and cormorants, apart from marine mammals such as southern elephant seals and southern sea lions.

Our stay includes three nights in Puerto Madryn. Our main goal is to enjoy and deeply discover Valdes Peninsula’s natural wealth, which made it be inscribed on the Unesco’s World Heritage List.

Valdes’ Whales fares are per person based on single or double occupancy at hotel standard category (inn or hotel 3), breakfast included. Fares are subject to availability. Not included: two way plane tickets to Trelew, tickets for Reserva Península Valdés and any other service not offered in our proposal. Tours and transfers are shared with other travelers.
