Are you into tango? Would you like to know what lies behind this fascinating musical genre? Ammanik suggests a different approach to tango.
Mad about tango and an amateur dancer, our guide is the ideal specialist to accompany us in this amazing tour through tango history, evolution and current status after having been declared Intangible Heritage by the UNESCO in 2009. Throughout the tour we will attempt to answer questions such as what is tango, where it was born and what makes it so special.
The tour will begin in the afternoon. We will pick you up at your hotel and together we will visit one of the city’s most iconic places as regards tango. There, our guide will give a talk about tango history and its development, in order to help us understand its place in the Río de la Plata culture.
We will then visit a typical milonga, to appreciate tango in its most authentic expression: the porteños’, passionate about this urban rhythm that identifies them so much.
A private tango lesson is included, so you can learn how to dance the “2 x 4” like an authentic porteño!
