Iberá wetlands, the second-largest wetland in the world
The Iberá wetlands are one of Argentina’s most important tourist destinations. They cover 1,3 million acres (65 times Buenos Aires city), which makes them the second-largest wetland in the world, after Pantanal (shared by Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay).
Besides, it constitutes one of the biggest fresh water reservoirs in the planet and is home to great biodiversity.
Getting to know Iberá wetlands staying in an eco-lodge
Colonia Carlos Pellegrini is the main point of entry to the Iberá wetlands. It is a picturesque little town devoted to tourism. There, you will find several accommodation options, most of them offering full board and activities.
In Ammanik, we suggest staying in an eco-lodge located in Colonia Carlos Pellegrini, and which was built with natural techniques and is run by its owners.
Five days with nature outings to get to deeply know Iberá wetlands
This is an ideal trip to fully get to know this part of the Iberá wetlands in a sustainable way. Our goal is that you get the chance to observe the local landscape, flora and fauna.
The outings that we selected have low environmental impact and pursue a harmonious approach to nature.
